About Prema Embodied

Prema, the Sanskrit word for love, reflects a way of living that is intentional, expansive, and rooted in our shared humanity. Love, when fully embodied, becomes a driving force for a world shaped by compassion, care, and connection in the ways we live and lead. My bicultural identity and lived experience navigating multiple cultures shape my deep commitment to creating human-centered workplaces that sustain people, purpose, and impact. I integrate trauma-responsive principles, neuroscience, somatics (mind-body) practices into my coaching and consulting work, helping people build stronger relationships, greater trust, and meaningful change. Through Prema Embodied, I help organizations care for the people at the heart of their work.

Mission

To cultivate human-centered leadership and build cultures of care, belonging, and well-being through coaching, consulting, and embodied practice.

Professional Journey

I’m a collaborative leader who readily understands complex systems, translates across sectors, and seeks to advance equity. I have over a decade of experience as a national and state-level consultant supporting communities with strategic initiatives in public health, early childhood, child welfare, and court systems. In my role at the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment and as part of Workforce Development, I provide coaching, consultation, and training to state and local partners across Colorado to facilitate change, shift policies and practices, and cultivate cultures of care and belonging. I hold certifications as a trauma-informed coach, a Neurosequential Model trainer, and a qualified administrator of the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) and Intercultural Conflict Style (ICS) assessments. I am a graduate of the Buell Early Childhood Leadership Program from the University of Colorado, Denver. I hold a Master of Public Health from California State University, Long Beach, and a Bachelor of Public Health Policy from the University of California, Irvine.

Core Values

  • Compassion: honoring the human experience in all its complexity

  • Curiosity: approaching people and systems with openness

  • Connection: cultivating trust, belonging, and community

  • Courage: embracing discomfort, staying aligned with purpose, and leading with integrity

What Grounds Me

I’m a certified trauma-informed coach and yoga teacher who finds joy in movement, nature, and good food. I love hiking with my two Border Terriers, Sunny and Rocco, recreating my mom’s South Indian recipes, spending quality time with loved ones, and exploring new places with my spouse, William. These practices nourish my spirit and help me stay connected to what matters most.

“When we choose to love, we choose to move against fear — against alienation and separation. The choice to love is the choice to connect.”
— bell hooks

A woman seated on a tree stump by a lakeshore holds a small dog on her lap, both smiling towards the camera. Another dog stands on a nearby stump, looking off to the side. The lake is a deep blue with gentle ripples, and a mountain range looms in the distance under a clear sky. The shore is lined with rocks and green shrubs, creating a serene natural setting.
